About Łódź Film Commission
Łódź Film Commission was established in 2009 as the first unit of its kind in Poland, being the next step in the implementation of the film policy of the City of Łódź, following the Łódź Film Fund established two years earlier. The Łódź Film Commission provides comprehensive and professional assistance to producers of feature films, documentaries and animated films, as well as television programs, advertising spots, music videos, corporate films, computer games and all other forms of audiovisual production. Each project receives full support in the form of assistance in finding the best venues for shooting, obtaining all permits, approvals from property owners, setting aside parts of parks, squares, urban space for the film crew, etc. The Commission provides support in contacting key entities for the preparation and realization of the film, e.g. city services, including the police, city guard or local media. The Łódź Film Commission is also the operator of the Łódź Film Fund, from which a producer can receive funding for a feature, documentary or animated film.
